Welcome!
My Philosophy
I believe birth should be approached in low risk women as a normal psysiological process, and that a variety on that approach can still be maintained even in high risk pregnancy when there is collaboration on the part of all care providers. My entire philosophy on birth is approached as woman-centered with holistic care at its core.
My Services
I attend women in the home setting providing support for normal pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care in Georgia and South Carolina. There is a very clear client responsibility agreement between myself and clients who choose homebirth services.
I offer midwifery services, doula care in the home or hospital setting, in addition to Birth Matters Lamaze Childbirth Education Classes.
My Qualifications
I am a student of Midwives College of Utah, I have completed B.E.S.T and inFACT training through Aviva Institute. I have completed well woman care courses through Conscious Woman, birth doula training, as well as training as a Lamaze Childbirth Educator.
I carry a license to practice midwifery in South Carolina under the DHEC guidelines for provisional (apprentice) midwives, and am working on acquiring my CPM in Georgia. Additionally, I am involved in midwifery travel out of the country, where we work in hospitals with large birth volumes to assist local doctors and midwives. We also work toward securing site location(s) to open birth centers abroad.
